That life entering the world on top of their graves must have been what triggered their jealousy and made them desire Carol Ann's life force. Also, you can't really blame the Medium. No one told her that there were graves under the house. I bet if she knew that, she wouldn't have declared the house "clean." And finally, glad you didn't know this at the time, but the bodies at the end were real. Actual dead bodies from a medical school. That's not an urban legend. That is a confined fact; it's just that the producers and director didn't tell the actors till after the movie was shot and edited.

I would say the third film was a huge stepdown from the first two, but honestly? There could be much worse you could be watching..... you could be watching the REMAKE! *shudders.

The actor that played the preacher in the second movie died shortly after filming. And finally, the little girl who played Carol Ann died after filming the third movie, of a rare disease, if I’m not mistaken.

Poltergeist 2 was out 2 years later and has all of the same characters except for the daughter(Dominque Dunn) She was actually murdered by her abusive ex-boyfriend during the time.It is a good sequel and in Poltergeist 3 the only two recurring actors are Carol Anne and Tangina Barr(the little psychic lady) it also was a pretty good movie,,she goes to stay with her aunt and uncle.The sad thing is it came out in June 1988 and Heather O`Rourke(Carol Anne) died 4 months before it came out in theaters at the age of 12,Would love if y`all would react to 2 and 3 .

2022-09-28 13:24:00 +0000 UTCThis was a great movie. Anything Steven Spielberg does is good. It was a good horror movie. I think what made it so good was the storyline and it had it's funny moments. In one of the sequels, the girl who played Carol Ann died while making it. So I never watched them. Well the 2nd one I did but I didn't think it was very good. So, on with Return of the Jedi and then the exorcist. BJ cracked me up about the ending. He made some great points that I didn't even think about
