Fun Fact: The black outfit Sandy wore at the end of the movie had to be sewn on, sooo she could not even go to the bathroom because she was sewn into the costume. Of course John Travolta was in Staying Alive - basically a dance movie. Frankie Avalon (beauty school dropout), was a big star in the late 50s-early 60s when is the timeline that is movie takes place in (1959). Soo they were a gang (T-Birds), the Pink Ladies were a female gang, and the other gang was (Scorpions), the leader was the guy that lost the race. A shout out to the band in the school dance, SHA-NA-NA .. a fifties cover group that had their own tv show at one point. My favorite character was Rizzo. She puts up a "I don't care attitude" throughout the movie to hide her emotions. When she finds out she might be pregnant, she is nonchalant so Kinicki won't worry about her.

Ya it was lame but I lived for Grease when I was in the 8th grade- I watched it so much I would recite it to my sister in our room when she couldn’t sleep til she went to bed. I probably kept doing it even after she fell asleep. Anyways loved seeing it through new eyes!!! Good stuff folks!!

I was 10 when I saw this back in 1978.I fell in love immediately.I still have the soundtrack album.And yes John Travolta can definitely dance.You should check out his moves in the movie Saturday Night Fever(it came out the year before Grease) and the music is awesome(Bee Gees filled)
