This was such a great story about resilience, loyalty and gaining a friendship while enduring such hardships like prison. We absolutely loved seeing Andy and Red rise above unsurmountable odds by holding on to HOPE!! We literally were ready to watch this movie back-to-back!! That's how much we enjoyed watching. What did you guys think the first time you saw this movie? How did their story make you feel?

I think I finally caught up with all your movie reactions as far as being a good movie goes. 3 similar movies that are like this would be Escape From Alcatraz(with Clint Eastwood), Shot Caller. and The Last Castle. You'll recognize the warden on the last castle from Sopranos. Not sure if you watch family guy but theres a silly parody of 3 movies you've watched which includes this movie, Its season 7 episode 15 titled Three Kings.

2022-12-11 05:41:47 +0000 UTCAbout the tunnel - obviously in the movie (and the book too I think) they don't really talk about how he keeps it hidden beyond just the poster. But if you read Escape from Colditz by P. R. Reid - a British POW captured by the Germans and held in the notorious "Colditz Castle", supposedly an un-escapable prison fortress on top of a hill in the middle of Germany - you'll see how it's possible to disguise entrances to tunnels from even close-up inspections and using just regular materials found in a prison... What those POWs managed to get away with was nothing short of incredible.

I'm glad the Warden and Captain got done in the end 🎊 🎉 I was cheering 😂. But I never would have guessed that Andy and Red would meet again on the outside. What a great movie and great reaction Asia and BJ ❤️
