It's crazy to think that we were both unaware how classic this blockbuster movie was, and still is. None the less, it was super cool to see where both Tom and Val caught their first big break on the reels! What's your favorite seen of the movie and why? Should we watch the second installation of Top Gun?

2024-08-07 03:52:50 +0000 UTCAs great as Top Gun (1986) is, Top Gun: Maverick (2022) is so much better! I was 10 when Top Gun came out and I waited 36 long years for the sequel! I promise you will not be disappointed! The actors actually flew in the F18 jets! The cinematography is absolutely stunning! Top Gun (1986) has always been in my top 5 of all time, but Top Gun: Maverick (2022) is now my #1 of all time!

Also, you have got to get to the second one if you havnt yet(I didnt check. Im going up from the beginning of your list) But yea people ask me if I ever lost someone close to me that really hurt, and Ill say Goose. lol. That sucked. I came from a tight knit family and close friends so, to me it felt like losing someone like that. Anyways, thnx again guys!

My brother is in the Air Force and flies the F-35 today because he saw this movie when he was a kid. Strange how everyone on our Air Force base was obsessed with this movie at the time given the rivalry between the two branches. But when we would go to the BX, all of the moms would park their sons in the TV section and they’d watch this movie while their parents shopped. You should do the sequel. It was even better than this one.

I got to see how devastating the F-14 Tomcat which Maverick flew was when the US Aif Force flew 2 to New Zealand for an Air Show. One of them did a fly past at Mach 1.5 and the sonic boom smashed the windows of one of the buildings. Awesome to watch a movie with you both 😂 . Much ❤️

Little known fact but my old car that I flipped twice and walked out was named “Brett Maverick” which was named after this movie and the movie titled Maverick. Not the new one it was a 90’s Mel Gibson movie about Poker. Thanks for the fun when I could have been bored. Love you Folks!!! Also poor Goose!!!! Breaks my heart every time
