June 2023: Two Brand New Texturelabs Tools - Patreon Bonus!

Hey everyone, Wrapping up the month with a couple of brand new goods for you to check out!

Texturelabs Distressor for Photoshop

As you might know, I’ve been trying to convert many of the Texturelabs tutorials into more accessible templates. While revisiting the old pre-2020 GrungeStamp tutorial, a bunch of new ideas started sparking. The result, I’m excited to announce, is the Texturelabs Distressor Photoshop Plugin!

I love this thing so far. With just a few sliders and switches, you can create endless custom weathered grungy looks - from subtle distressed logos to absolutely shredded paint effects. A few use-case examples:

I’ll attach the plugin file & license key below. Here’s a quick video on how to get started: https://vimeo.com/840719421

Please note - this is version 1 of the plugin… Even after a bunch of testing here, updates are always inevitable :) It would be very much appreciated if you could shoot me a message if you run into any bugs or hiccups in the performance. Speaking of bugs, the Patreon messaging is pretty buggy - always better to get me at texturelabsorg@gmail.com

Flow State After Effects Template

Ok, second up - as I mentioned in the latest tutorial (radial displacement), I converted the project into an After Effects template. Much like the Pixelate template, it’s got a custom controller with all kinds of values to tinker with.

With this version of the project, you can easily change the speed and size of the effect, create looping animations, change between a linear and radial flow, and more!

The project contains a few example compositions as well. AET Template file attached below - give it a test drive and let me know if you have any questions.

That’s it for now! I’ll be out next week for an epic 2500 mile road trip around the Western states. Taking the kids to the Grand Canyon, that kind of a thing. So I might be a little slow on the message responses, but I’ll be keeping an eye on everything. Hope you’re having a great summer, and I’ll be back at you soon!

Cheers,

Brady

The Distressor is incredible. Game changer!

Nice!! Love hearing that. A few little issues to work out for an update, but so far it seems to be working great!

Been playing about with the distress tool again and I can't express how much I love it. It is awesome.
