In a flashback, Shanks said to Rayleigh that he met a boy in East Blue that used the same words as his captain. Then on the flashback between Ace, Sabo and luffy they cut the moment Luffy stated his dream and they let the reactions (which are not logical if it's just being king of pirates). Japanese speaker may correct me but I think he didnt start his sentence when he says he is gonna become king of pirates. He rather said "I'm gonna...." not using become but rather do. Then on episode 1015, Ace talked about his brother's dream and Yamato said a great man (Roger) said the same thing. We saw the cross scene of Roger and Luffy stating their dream in front of oden, wb, sabo, ace. Currently the only people knowing of Luffy's dream are Yamato, Sabo, Ace, Shanks (that's why he cried when he eard it. Tears of joy, hearing his captain's words) and Rayleigh. Other roger's crewmembers, and Momonosuke (bc he has access to oden's notebook) might know about it either. Another hint is when Roger came back from Raftel and said something to Shanks that made him cry. Why did he cry, well a popular theory states thhat he could have said something like "I won't be able to accomplish my dream, You must find joyboy (or someone sharing my dream) and give him the gomu gomu no mi". Shanks might be sad that his captain will die without fulfilling his true dream (this could also explain shank's behaviour in his discussion with baggy during roger's execution. He dropped his dream to find the one piece bc he had the mission to find joyboy. Now tat joyboy appeared, he will claim the one piece as he said to beckman). Why couldnt he fulfill it while having reached the last island and read the Rio Poneglyph, well, Rayleigh said it himself because he arrived too early (his true dream might be linked to what the one piece trully is, which is logical knowing that the manga's name is the one piece). They arrived 25 years too early. What was said to happen 25 years after finding the one piece by roger ? exactly ! Te meeting between Luffy and shirahoshi, the two monarchs (the sea kings said it in Oden's flaashback, tat poseidon would be born 10 years from then, and ten 15 more years till the meeting with joyboy). Hence, Luffy might need at least Poseidon's power to achieve his dream and "create" the one piece. Rayleigh also said in sabaody that he could reveal to them what is the one piece but it would lead to anything. They could do anyting with is information and that it was important for them to come up with thheir own answer in due time. The timing is, therefore, a crucial part of finding the one piece (and I theorize that the timing is linked to poseidon as I explained). Toki also traveled 800y in the future bc she wanted to find joy boy. Oden said that strong pirates will come in exactly 20 years (how did he know that). He also said that he wanted to open Wano's borders to enable te country to welcome joy boy in due time.

Raleigh had a flashback where shanks was talking to him about a little boy he met in the east blue (luffy) and he said the same exact words as our captain roger. Its the same link we saw in episode 1015 when yamato realised through talking to ace that luffy has the same specific dream as Roger from odens journel
