Added 2025-02-17 13:31:14 +0000 UTCIncase yall don’t know, on FEBRUARY 21, we’ll be finishing the rest of bleach AND starting TYBW on stream. Which is why there won’t be any new bleach today.
And then TOMORROW, we will begin our FULL METAL ALCHEMIST reactions. I’ve decided to start from the beginning again, since it’s been years since I’ve watched the anime and I forgot absolutely everything about it.

Characters will be more fleshed out and some events will have a larger impact. You can still enjoy it without, but up to episode 25 of FMA is canon to FMAB. Just a suggestion.

And truthfully if you’ve already watched some of it and remember it you should pick up where you start getting foggy on the plot. Outside the absolute weebs that nut for subs over dubs, i know people who dont watch anime who really enjoyed FMAB dub and never watched any other anime outside of that.

Dub first as it was one the first anime I watched, and then sub a couple years later and for me it is way better in sub. VAs in sub are so good and emotional. And I would say start over, you’ll be into the story more. Definitely excited for you to watch this one !

It's good, maybe even one of the best Dubs I've heard, but that doesn't mean that it's better than the Sub, especially when you ignore main characters. There's already been another reactor who decided to do the Dub over the Sub because of community pressure, and he ended up switching to the Sub, so they're doesn't need to be a repeat. For people who general prefer English, they can definitely watch it in Dub, but Nick half jokingly gives a disgusted reaction whenever he accidentally watches a dub. And watching it in Sub ensures continuity from his previous watching experience of FMAB

2025-02-17 14:26:43 +0000 UTCI strongly suggest you watch FMA first(or at least until the break point in which FMA turned to its anime original plot) or finish FMA and then watch FMAB because the first 13 episodes of FMAB are "speedrun" version of the episodes that were animated in FMA so they lack the care and attention those storylines require plus they cut a lot of characters backstories so you kinda losing information by just watching FMAB.
