That's what makes his character good. He is flawed like how all humans are. If he wasn't like that, it would be unrealistic especially considering his background. No human beings' actions are all straightforward and consistent. I bet you do so many contradictory actions that you don't even realize it yourself. If Sanji's character was any other way, it would suck bad. Anyone who can't see this, what are you even doing? lol

He wants to save his terrible family and yet didn't want to help the kids at first in punk hazard ??? and his CONSTANT mean spirit towards men isn't all that "kind".. is it. and god... his action towards woman can get so... disturbing. wish I liked him more since he's really good pre time skip and in this arc, buuut.

Everyone enjoys anime in different ways. I have also read the original work, but I feel like I can follow the general outline even in one pace, so I think it's fine as is. If you get a comment saying "That scene was cut!", you can watch the scene normally afterwards. I didn't know about OnePace, so I'm surprised that it's so useful.

The alternative to One Pace, Onigashima Paced leaves it untouched as well and has extended edits for those good episodes. And yeah, the scene requests in chat are hilarious - characters walking into a door for 30 seconds is somehow necessary.

Nick is watching the anime not the manga so the anime is made to be watched how it is. Sure there is some fluff and extra pacing but using one pace just cuts the flow of the anime and removes scenes that may not be in the manga but were created by the animators and were meant to watched. I haven't even gotten to these episodes of Nick's reactions but I see people saying it cuts Brook's fight which is actually a really good scene I wanted to see too

2025-02-06 23:01:46 +0000 UTCThe problem with Toei one piece is for every good 10 minutes they add every 30 (8 hours without OP or ED) episodes they have over 4 hours of nonsense fluff. For us on Patreon we just skip to the good parts, but already canon shit like chopper in the mirror world I skip over while reading the manga now imagine the moments spread out to take 5 minutes instead of 5 seconds to read. This gets better near the end of Wano because of One piece live action showing them they needed to invest more money. Before then this anime was sadly being taken care of by a bunch of overworked animators who were forced to extend 1 chapter to a 17+ minute episode with animation that was extemely safe and uncreative.
