Congrats for not understanding anything. He is not watching the show. He is reacting to the show and getting paid for it from a lot of people. He is literally getting paid for sitting and watching anime, watching the WHOLE thing should be at least the minimum to pay respect to his community and to the anime itself. I am not "hating" as you say, I am expressing my deep unsatisfaction and disappointment for a service that I have been paying. And no, it is not as simple as "so just stop paying and go watch some other reactor"...watching someone reacting to a show, expecially OP, is a long commitment that makes you attached to the specific reactor, I invested money and a lot of time following Nick, so the disappointment has now 700+ episodes of weight on top of it, it's not like skipping a TV channel.

It is a fact, it does cut off many important scenes...I did never watch One Pace until Nicholas reactions and I always thought it was just cutting off filler scenes and flashbacks, but I never thought it was going to be so horribly edited. It cuts off important scenes, moments that build up tension and sometimes things happen without you even understanding how did it get to that moment. One Pace is the most disrespect ever done to One Piece.

I mean I also dont really Like one piece in the big Moments but the King Kong gun was literally like that in the Manga: a one hit without much struggle. Never liked the struggle with the King Kong gun in the Anime makes Luffy weaker than he actually is.

Yes it is a great concept but it all comes down to preference tho. If you love Sub and watch one pace and think that is the best experience then thats great, but if someone watches dub and normal one piece and they think thats the best experience then also great. I watch both dub and sub anime depending on how i feel, and i never once felt like something didnt hit just because it was dubbed for example Fujitoras speech to Luffy hit more in dub than sub to me, but for others it doesnt. I just wanted to show that you should think from both sides before screaming out that something is YOUR favorite and others suck.

Because one pace is a really cool concept and it delivers a better experience than the Toei added content BS and dragged out scenes. On the other hand Dub delivers in every aspect the worser experience, for example the lag of emotional depth in almost every important scene. The Japanese anime VA industrie is specialized in synchronizing anime and works really close together with the mangakas to deliver the most perfect and closest interpretation of the original Manga or LN content.

It’s bc of what was going on in real life during this arc. Oda was sick a lot during this and Toei switched from like 42 episodes a year to like 48. So to make sure it didn’t have a FMA issue they had to cut the pacing from 2.5 to 1.5 to .8 in DR

Except its not for no reason, there is no build up in One pace, it's too fast paced, scenes just don't hit the same. I agree there are moments that feel stretched out in the original but it's part of the formula that makes this show so unique and successful. People need to chill. Not to mention disregarding all those scenes is also disrespectful towards all the hard work animators, voice actors etc.. put in the show.

I think it's fine to use One pace to get through the story except for fight scenes. Oda intended to have the anime elevate the fight scenes rather than doing it in the manga. So, hopefully moving forward, Nick watches the fight scenes without one pace.

The only problem with One Pace is it takes EVERYTHING not in the manga out. In the case of all the crowd reactions that’s fine snd running shots too especially in DR. However it also cuts scenes like VA Bastille cutting like 5 buildings in half and the KG attack, hakuba flurry of slashes against dellinger. The way it’s edited in sections make it feel choppy or like it’s going from panel to panel.

This is the most brain dead message ever. The problem isn't that people have a short attention span. The problem is that One Piece just stretches everything for no reason (the real reason is the so the anime doesn't catch up to the manga). Like Nick said, One Pace cut off 25 hours of watch time. Even if he missed some things from the original, it wasn't worth 25 hours of his life.

Oh boy he thinks one pace made these recent episodes better when so many cool moments were cut out. Like when they fought at 1:42 near the giant statue, they cut out the part where they showed Luffy flying up the statue really fast at an aerial angle. Also when Doffy shot some strings at Luffy and he made them disintegrate just by holding up his hand then said, "Prepare yourself." Among others that other patreons mentioned too. But that's what happens when you listen to everything chat says. Some of those people don't even know what they're talking about. So one pace was ok for episodes 680-699. But shouldn't have been used beyond that and for final fights. He's the only OP reactor I've seen that missed all those good parts after 699. Oh well it is what it is...regardless thanks for all the OP episodes.

I think it's generally bad that original pieces of art need to be reworked in order to accommodate today's generation tiktok 2 secs attention brains, we shouldn't support it and/or worse, normalize it. At this rate, in a couple years it will become 1 sec attention span and people might start watching an even faster version of One Pace. The One Pace version of that final clash was still good. The main reason I prefer the normal version, even tho One Pace is more manga accurate, is that the music and the scenes match up better which makes for greater crescendo, and One Piece is all about crescendos. One Pace skips a beat which flattens the moment a bit, although maybe I only feel that way because I saw the original first 🤷‍♂️ Thank you for all the reactions 🔥

I think the pacing is definitely better in one pace, but personally the build up to certain moments is very important to the experience of the anime (in manga it's kind of hard to build up to moments like that) My only issues with one pace are there aren't really build ups like that and the music tracks skip beats which is not great since I love the one piece OST / themes.
