If you like the way Toei stretches out scenes, adds fillers and repeat stuff, you be you, best anime experience is subjective, but one thing I know for certain is that they do this not to improve the flow or highlight key moments, but because they must adapt one manga chapter per episode to avoid catching up to the source material. The alternative would be switching to a seasonal format, but that wouldn't generate the same level of revenue. So you see, Toei is manipulating pacing as a business strategy rather than a means to enhance the viewer experience, regardless of if it actually enhances it, that is the main purpose. There probably are tons of people in the chat who read Dressrosa before watching, and cringes every time filler stuffs pop up, but they never complain how Toei messed certain scenes up, literally never, and you have these people protesting the moment One Pace is up, and you are calling me a baby for criticizing it. IDGAF which version he watches, it's his choice and have some respect for that. And also have some respect for people who made One Pace, they were supporting and discussing the series before some of you were even conceived of. It’s not about being the most faithful to the source material, if we only wanted the manga bits, we’d just read the manga. Sometimes when you switch mediums you need to add things to help the flow or highlight certain things that can’t be done in the manga in the same way (look at 1015). Does Toei suck? Yeah, sometimes, but One Pace is very gratuitous in what it cuts and it’s not perfect in giving the best ANIME experience, which is what we’re here to see. I think One Pace is the best option. Nick can react to it how he wants, but seeing One piece dickriders demonise it like its the spawn of satan's asshole is mindboggling.
