2024-12-20 14:36:41 +0000 UTCWhen i say “pacing” for Fishman and Dressrosa, im referring to episodes that were made longer than they needed to be with a bunch of freeze frames and wide shots that the animation team put in as like a “break” pretty much so they didn’t have to animate characters. They’re fixing it in One Pace by just removing all the unnecessary wide shots and stuff, and only leaving the lore and necessary stuff with actual character interactions and world building.

Honestly when I watched one piece fully for the first time, I didn’t even notice the pacing until people started mentioning it. The thing I don’t understand is if you’re interested enough in the story, wouldn’t you be happy about more?

Like Nick would genuinely enjoy this shit way better through one pace. As a manga reader the one pace version felt more close to the original content. One Piece is long and there are downtimes as well, not every episode have dope animation or moments because thats how epic moments are born. When i watched fishman island the 1st time, the pacing almost killed me but when you get to this battle (just like this moment), all those boring episodes washed away. Its normal to feel this way. i binged watch this arc and i enjoyed it more than watching the new episodes to be released on a weekly basis.

The benefits of not being spoiled mid stream, being able to focus on the episode, and being your honest self. I feel like Nick is able to truly not hold himself back when he doesn't have a magnifying glass on him. He can have his freedom for few weeks as well especially for all the shit and stress going on in his life which we don’t even know. 2024-12-19 22:11:51 +0000 UTCofc there are toxic people who wants him to rush becuase they love one piece, but there are a lot of people who pays him every single month to get content and they get less content becauce one piece, naruto and bleach are in the schedule for the next atleast 6 months... tbf I want him to finish with one piece because I want this day to be his rest day/a day for another anime, I have already watched one piece and I can say that nick passed the peak of the show in marineford, it's not fair or worth for him to drop it because he will disappoint his viewers and it's good for views but 2 episodes per week it's just not it man... one piece have one of the worst pacing in all of anime history and now he is in the "bad arcs" of the time skip, one piece will get a bit interesting in 80 episodes and actually interesting in about 230 episodes. 2 episodes per week is almost nothing for that pacing, its like reading a chapter and a half per week... he can switch to "one pace" and everyone will be happy, the pacing is way better, he will get to the good parts faster, he will not miss anything, he will finish the show faster, every episode will actually have some content and not few pages of one chapter (yes this is the pacing). it's not even nick's fault, its Toei's, sadly all of the viewers (including Nick) have to understand it and watch it faster than usual.
