2024-12-29 20:03:55 +0000 UTCI agree the fights aren't that good visually in Season 3. To me it isn't the technical production details, but how they present the fights and what they choose to show. However, one of the few flaws with Slime imo is that many of the fights throughout the series don't really go into what's going on in Rimuru's mind, which make the fights look easier for him than they actually are. The plot follows the light novels closely, which pleases the light novel readers. I'm not sure they executed the plot that well, but overall I think "hate" is too strong a word for what it deserves, although the quality isn't up to that of Seasons 1 or 2. But the quality isn't too far from that. It's just that the point of the story isn't what people want it to be in Season 3.

It's a world building anime, after all. It's also a build up for future seasons, so without those talkings, things won't proceed naturally.. just my thoughts on that.

Imagine looking at a kid and saying "I can't wait till they grow up" MASSIVE creep vibes but Rimuru meant more like he wishes she was older at that moment or he heard "I love you" from someone of age in his old life. The world building was done in one room and straight up talking for 4-5 episodes in a row. Even many fans of the LN didn't like it, because you can read the LN in your own pace. But you have to watch each episode with 20 minutes of very slow pacing and in most episodes absolutely nothing happened.

2024-11-15 01:26:03 +0000 UTCThe school arc of this season had a lot of important stuff cut out, then the studio realized their mistake and made OVAs 3-5 and the first 6 episodes of Season 2 after the spirits but before the final parting. It's confusing if you don't know that ahead of time, and many make the mistake of skipping the canon OVAs since the first 2 are just filler fan-service. Also there's Slime Diaries which are just miscellaneous moe Slice of Life episodes that introduce characters that won't be relevant until at least season 4 or 5 (we're on 3 now). And the Veldora episode may be good paired with the extra since it's an episode dedicated to him and seeing what he's been up to this whole time
