FMAB, ATLA or Bleach. FMAB and ATLA start slow but are some of the best animated shows period. From what's left of Bleach, it has some serious ups and downs but will offer some peak moments. TYBW is in a league of its own so in the end it'll be worth getting through it anyway.

(1) Parasyte -The Maxim- would be my first pick! - These are some good ones if you are looking for ideas! - - In order from the ones I think would be best to start with. - (1) Parasyte - The Maxim- (A pretty serious anime too) (2) Steins;Gate (Both Sub and Dub are great for this one) (Pretty serious anime) (3) Konosuba (Fun and lighthearted, hilarious, sometimes odd! xD) (4) Danmachi (Fun show, Adventure and interesting setting) (5) Land of the Lustrous (Short but great!) (6) Sword Art Online (Interesting setting, unique for it's time) (7) March comes in like a lion (Great anime, but depressing too) An interesting option I've not seen anyone mention before that I watched a long time ago! (8) Romeo x Juliette (interesting) (The DUB, because it's unique and far better than the sub in this case, they speak in like older English in the dub so it feels more interesting than the sub and in my opinion sounded great).
