When you said that this has to be the craziest state that MHA world has been in, this is nothing compared to what the world looked like during like the first 30-40 years from the first quirks manifesting decades earlier from the animes events. The time when all for one got into power in Japan and whole world was just in complete chaos. Naturally because lot of people just became supehumans. 2. When you were wondering where "Nightwing" was I take that you meant Nighteye and if thats the case I don get how you forgot but he died after the overhaul fight. 3. And finally, what Nana Shimura meant buy that shes childless when she was speaking with younger Gran Torino she just wanted to hide her child from the world so all for one wouldnt go after him in order to mess with Nana.

All students take part in the sports festival regardless of what course they are in. Shinso says he is going to do well in the sports festival to get transferred into the hero course. Aizawa starts to personally train him to prepare him to get transferred. His role in the joint training arc in season 5 is a test for him to see if the teachers will agree to transfer him to the hero course. This is all said in the story.
