He wanted to confide in his brother instead of going through with it and suffering alone. If you think Itachi is innocent you're missing one of the core messages of the show. Itachi is my 3rd favorite character but he still committed genocide because of his beliefs.

2024-08-02 21:40:29 +0000 UTC@Azariel Itachi is 100% innocent, analyze the story. He basically got blackmailed into killing them since Danzo said he would kill them regardless. Danzo set the entire stage to force Itachi to do so to protect the village and Sasuke. Danzo USED Itachi. Danzo killed the Uchiha, not Itachi. The end result if Itachi had not killed the Uchiha would have been far more catastrophic and we know this. Itachi was saying there were POTENTIALLY better actions he could have taken prior to that moment he decided to kill his clan, and that MAYBE they could have been convinced if he had told Sasuke about the Coup as a child. He wanted to be seen as a villain to protect Sasuke and the reputation of the Uchiha, it doesn't mean he was actually a villain or did anything wrong.

Because she insisted he told her thanks for loving him , bashed her head and rest her on the bench because she would have followed him and become a criminal for him going with Oroshimaru, + she would have constantly try to get him to stop, this show he kinda care about her . Anyway then he just could have killed her as well as Naruto very easily but didn't until the post Itachi drama that made him hate the leaf and feel hatred toward the village and all it's inhabitants living in the peace Itachi procured them at the price of himself and his clan . Kinda understandable . Sakura doesn't see the toxic aspect , she see Sasuke as a tragic character and she got a savior complex toward him that Naruto has too , but Naruto doesn't give up on how he wanna save him , while Sakura embrasse the tragedy and want to kill Sasuke because she can't fathom an other way .

No one else he has ever fought was shown dead who was innocent. Itachi, Orochi, Danzo, and Deidara were not innocent (Itachi was, but only secretly). You also have to understand that Sasuke is the biggest victim in the show tied with Itachi. He is not just full of hatred for no reason, the shinobi world's hatred created him. There are people who are way more to blame for Sasuke's downfall than Sasuke himself - like Danzo. So yeah, they have compassion for someone they love who was essentially mentally traumatized by factors outside of their control. He also used to be a great person who put his life on the line to protect them. They were a team for 8-9 months. Sorry if you cannot relate, maybe you just don't give a shit about your friends if you think you would wish them dead if they became a bad person from inflicted trauma out of their control. Sasuke is not blameless, but labeling him as some common serial killer is hilariously off.
