Toya was mentioned in the same episode during the flashback just in case you forget the obscure details. You need to start pausing when you go on rants so you don't miss things, but then you will get complaints for pausing ^_^

They rushed MVA and had multiple filler episodes that could have been replaced with actual important stuff that was cut from MVA. The weird swapping of the arcs was also frustrating because they spoiled some of the dramatic moments within the season by showing what happens in the future. It completely ruins the mystery. S5 was still good, but it could have been SO much better.

That lab scene at the end of 5x19 is supposed to take place at the end of the season but was weirdly placed when they swapped arcs.

It's still a good watch though with a few great scenes and character development that raise the level of the arc

He had plans and everything, but he had to come to a traumatizing family dinner, got unintentionally guilt-tripped for his perfectly reasonable feelings, and then got kidnapped and almost died several times. And then, Endeavor gave him another traumatic speech in the middle of the road before he could even catch his breath properly. A lot of people really like to praise Endeavor in this episode, but I think Natsuo's trauma is a bit glossed over by many. He's now both an abuse survivor and hostage survivor.
