He was disappointed by the result basically... He said he might watch it off screen (I hope to God he doesn't do that) And later someone asked about it being a Patreon exclusive... He said he maybe will try that at some point. Well, that's basically it!

A lot of the reactors I watch seem to rave and love it, that's why I wanted to bring it up, many have said it's their favorite anime this past season, which they're not saying about other animes including Demon Slayer, so I don't think they're bs'ing for clicks.

2024-06-27 23:24:19 +0000 UTCaction-wise I think AOT was their best work, and everyone has their own preferences when it comes to animation, especially the action sequences, so my preference was Mappa (regardless of how they treat their employees) over Wit when they worked on AOT and Vinland as comparison b/c both studios worked on it. I don't know if I was being pessimistic or just disappointed because the trailers looked great and they stuck a big "WB Pictures" label at the start of show as to show it's supposed to be a big deal, and I also really enjoyed James Gunn's Suicide Squad movie, so my expectations were pretty high going in and the first few eps definitely did not live up to them. Maybe it's because it's a collab with warner that made it not as good, so I'll gauge their animation when they start airing the new One Piece i guess.

They had the goat arifumi imai on their side, same for vinland saga. also vivy looked amazing, and this could just be a one off. too early to get so pessimistic imo, wit has done some amazing looking things, so don't discredit their potential. it's way better than if some other studio did it like jc staff to one punch man

2024-06-27 22:11:54 +0000 UTCObviously the animation will be good, it's wit studio, the goat from the first seasons of attack on titan :D and the scenes that are all a bit lacking in detail and distorted are similar to some scenes from jjk season 2, that's the style, its not like if the quality was low, or the scene wasn't finished, this style is intentional

When I think Suicide Squad that already has a fanbase and some really well-known DC characters, the action's gotta be good or else their iseakai story gotta be as good mushoku, rezero, slime, etc. I only watched the first 2 eps and that was enough for me

TBH I'm not that impressed with Wit Studio and they're supposed to do the new One Piece? Mappa did AOT and Vinland better than they did after they decided not to finish both, I dunno how a series backed by Warner Brothers and Wit could be so mid, is it supposed to compete with other iseakai like Mushoku or Re:zero, gtfoh...
