There is no way you seriously believe there weren't uninvolved people in the clan. Some were likely opposed or neutral, but you can't say they were all in accordance with the higher-ups. Itachi is one of the most tragic characters in all of Naruto. Doing something so despicable for the sake of his village by killing his entire clan, his family, his blood. But pleading to save his own brother, so that later on he can be hated and despised by not only the village that HIS actions saved, but also by the little brother that he put his entire reputation on. And on top of that, to drive his brother to so much hatred to basically do Suicide by Sasuke, to make Sasuke a Hero from the Leaf's perspective because he took down a fugitive murderer. I love the raw emotion of the voice actors in the sub version, but after watching both sub and dub naruto multiple times, I've realized the script is totally different between the two versions of sub and dub, and even tho the sub does better voice acting, the script pales in comparison to the dubs script, these episodes of itachis story is proof of that, the dub script worded tobis tale so much more elegant, that's my only issue with sub they translate the script very poorly sometimes compared to the dubs translation

At this point was when Itachi became my number one favorite character. That was a plot twist and a half. Also, the final forehead tap before his death. I watched it with different translation so every time before it was "Forgive me, Sasuke, maybe some other time" and in the end it was "Forgive me, Sasuke, there won't be another time". And about Itachi's illness, I don't think it was because he used sharingan too much. Mangekyo Sharingan caused his vision issues and his eyes were bleeding a lot, but why would he cough blood if his eyes were the root of the problem? It's just doesn't make sense to me, I can't come up with any explanation that make sense. So to me mangekyo sharingan caused blindness and Itachi's mysterious illness was killing him. Also...Itachi's backstory always makes me so emotional 😭 (I'm an older sibling myself so it kinda resonates with me) why is this show has to be so fucking sad?! I love Itachi (everybody loves Itachi!) and yet they had to make him suffer like that and now things are turning the way he DID NOT want specifically! Edit: Also fuck Danzo, I hate this guy
