2024-06-19 09:38:02 +0000 UTCI've read the manga. I understand your point. But I don't think it's necessary to extend that much an arc who should have taken only 3 or 4 episodes. The manga, in terms of character development, was fine the way it is. In this arc, we got a glimpse of the missing hashiras and they are trully developped during the incoming fights and flashback. It's a clever way to develop characters. I'm convinced they are not adding these scenes for the plot's need but for economical reasons (more seasons = more money) while they could have included this arc in the end of last season, finishing it on a huge cliffhanger. It's a shame to have that much of filler content in a SEASONAL anime !! Also, the humour in this show doesn't hit me. I'm getting annoyed and bored. In the manga there is humour but he show is perfectly balanced. The pacing is bad, the added dialogues are irrelevant. I don't wanna spoil here but in the manga I really felt the incoming events without the need of seeing all of these added scenes. Maybe two episodes ago it was good and heartwarming, but it was too long. except for the airplane added scene which is moving knowing what happens later on, this episode is empty. The episode adapts something like two pages. Everything is filler and trash for me. Last episode was good but the one with Tengen is extremely bad. Totally irrelevant.

2024-06-18 23:53:44 +0000 UTCI think the problem with Demon Slayer (as it is right now) is that: the supporting cast of characters needs serious work, the main cast doesn't get love they deeply deserve, the pacing is really off, and the juxtaposition of comedic scenes and serious moments within the same episode throws people off. I go from laughing at something one moment to trying to feel serious about Muzen's impending doom all in one moment. "Trying" is the key word there
