Idrc because it's just 3$ and I'm like 30 ep behind anyways but this explanation does sound kind of silly to me. He doesn't want to upload all at once because then there would be no point into coming to the stream or YouTube? If you didn't see all of the first stream, wouldn't you be more likely to come to the next stream if you were able to catch up on Patreon beforehand? Also, I don't get how it would stop people from going to his YouTube either. I'm watching uncut on Patreon, it wouldn't make sense to go to YouTube which is further behind and edited whether he uploads them slowly or at once. Delaying completed episodes to build anticipation idk how some would feel about that on a paid service. Again this doesn't even affect me but I feel like he would of saved himself a headache and a bunch of annoyed fans if he just uploaded them after the streams. I could be missing something, but I just don't see the benefit for him holding out on patreon. I know this is gonna come off as hate it really wasnt the intention but whatev it was just my first thoughts.

The point of not uploading the streams on patreon was that the reason why he did the subathon was to boost his twitch channel. There was no point to attend the twitch stream if you know beforehands that the full uncut version would be released in a few days on patreon. So if he did that and told people that he was going to release it on patreon then half of the viewers on twitch wouldn't be there, myself included. After saying that before the stream and making people come to twitch because if not they would have to wait to see it on patreon, he can't just change it and say ok if you want it that much get it because if he did that: 1. He would take back his own words 2. The people who came to the streams just so they do not have to wait would be the ones feeling unjustified and betrayed The point is either way people would get mad but what's keeping him from doing it is that he himself a few days back said he wouldn't.

The point of doing it on stream is to build community. Naruto was voted on to be a stream anime that would be uploaded to Patreon, so you can’t argue with what the people wanted. You get plenty of other anime content that’s exclusive to Patreon for only $3😭 which is a steal. People aren’t giving “constructive” criticism, they’re straight baby complaining. The people he’s talking to are the people who feel entitled to everything he said he would give and 10x more. It’s $3 for the 8-10 eps you’re getting everyone needs to chill out. And what’s wrong with positive comments on a platform meant to support a creator. Make it make sense.

Earlier than what though? You are still getting the content before it goes up on YouTube so it is still early. That's the whole point of patreon, to access content (and full content, not edited and chopped content). The creator streams the content online and whoever makes it, can make it. The video itself can't be posted vod due to copyright so it gets posted to patreon whenever the content creator feels like it's ready to upload. Then it finally gets posted to youtube, everyone on patreon gets access to the content before it gets posted to YouTube but never before a stream and it's not always directly after depending on the type of stream so I'm still failing to see why there is such a huge fuss.

The comparison is paying for something to be given to you early but getting it intervals. A better comparison is you pre order a game to play it early but instead they let you play the start of the game now and the rest when the game actually releases but you still payed full price.

Griffith I understand your point, but I don't think harassing and being nasty about getting the videos is going to get anyone anywhere. Also you are comparing him putting out his videos to making sandwiches which is a wrong comparison. He is not some fast food worker, he is a content creator and you get the content when he decides to post it. If you do not like the terms to the service (which he made very clear before the subathon what he was going to do and how he was going to upload the videos) then do not pay for it, unsubscribe, and wait until it is completely posted to pay. Everyone here needs to stop playing the victim card. The ones who made suggestions to fix or change things are the people who should be listened to, not the ones being rude and nasty with their comments

The solution would be to get an editor. Nick doesn’t have the craziest editing style. You could probably edit a ton of his videos in an afternoon then let him make the thumbnails and post them.

Is it entitled behavior if they’re actually entitled to it? Yes it’s cheap. Yes he does a lot of content (nobody makes him stream 500 shows he does that and we love it but it’s his choice he’s a big boy.) But they’re still paying for a product. It’s like paying for a bunch of sandwiches and the guy says okay “they’re all done but I’ll give you one now and the rest in intervals” while you still get the sandwich and you didn’t pay much. You still payed to get a product when it was ready only to have to wait. While i personally don’t care I have a job I have stuff to do so I couldn’t binge an entire arc with Nick if I wanted to. I understand the frustration that the Patreon where people pay mandatorily feel left out compared to a free stream. Where you also get it all basically uncut and also free. At that point what are you really paying for? That’s how they feel. And understanding that makes sense. You can’t please everyone and sometimes you have to understand which people to appease and that some people are gonna get upset. They’re allowed to get upset that’s their human right. But there’s nothing they can do at the end of the day. It’s his stream and it’s his business and it’s his choice how he runs it. But saying “if you don’t like it leave” is just being callous.

Streams are free you don’t have to pay to access them the people who pay and get left behind (even if it’s only 3 dollars) feel like second class citizens in their own minds. That’s a Mandatory 3 dollars compared to a free stream. People think it should be. YouTube twitch then the Patreon but in reality it’s the YouTube the Patreon then the twitch. I work almost every day so I can’t make it to streams. I don’t really care that they’re not uploaded all at once but I can understand the anger. That’s a major issue people have when eps are streamed and not immensity uploaded after. They paid to get something early yet they still have to wait even tho others have got it for free because the streams lined up with their open schedules. Like it’s not hard to understand why wouldn’t would be upset that they support to get something early but still have to wait even though the videos have already been out for a while. I saw naruto when it aired weekly. With fillers. I last saw pain arc 2010. So 14 years ago. Do you believe i remember everything and just think i can catch up seeing episode 350 without 320 - 349? Of course i know the main points but for example i didnt know that tsunade and jirayya was that close. I rathern see it in order than seeing it live with nick out of order. You clearly did not read anything I wrote at all. 1. Sure its stated in things like posts or maybe streams but these are not viewable unless you already paid, which completely contradicts the subscription perks listed. The perks clearly state all anime episodes reacted too will have the uncut vod uploaded after the stream ends. If someone sees this and buys the subscription to view the naruto subathon outside of the twitch stream, they cant; when the subscription benefits clearly state it will. People might/mightve already paid for something that is promised when in reality it isnt. Imagine a service like crunchyroll, disney+, netflix, etc stating they have a show available if you pay for a subscription; but when you do pay, they just dont. I completely think this situation is not intentional and is a complete overthought/accident but at the end of the day it is quite literally disingenuous. Its not just a “so what” at all lmao. Like I said I dont really care for it as I dont watch naruto (dropped), but its shocking how many people like you for example lacking these critical thinking skills. Ill give you the example I stated in my original post. A COMPLETELY new viewer watches the subathon/stream/reactions for the FIRST TIME. How is he suppose to know the streams arent going to be uploaded to the patreon right after? Is he just suppose to hope he stumbles across the stream at the right time where nick magically says the subathon format? I wouldn't even call it being petty, I think at this point Nick needs to set some severe boundaries with the group. Not only is he streaming a shit ton of episodes, but he also needs to edit them and get them ready to post. So this means if the stream is 6 hours long, he will need to go back and edit those 6 hours to the way he wants those videos to be posted. That's 12 hours right there alone of work and those who do know will know that editing videos takes quite a bit of time. So those 6 hours of editing could easily jump up to 12 hours. Now multiply this by three days of streaming....it's just unreasonable to expect ANY content creator to load a stream immediately afterwards especially if they are planning to edit those videos. And then on top of all of this, he also has other animes he is currently watching and having to edit. So at the end of the day I don't expect him to pull 80 hr work weeks just to post these videos, and I say this as someone who currently works 60 to 80 hr work weeks. They suck, they are miserable and noone should be working these hours if they don't have to. And it's always a reminder to subscribers that just because you pay, it does not mean you are entitled to get the content when you want. You are just getting access to full unblurred content, and it is typically slightly earlier than YT. Streams have always been if you can make it or not, and if you can't then you just wait until it gets uploaded. Don't like it, then don't subscribe it's just that simple but the entitled behavior displayed is disgusting

Nick is only one person. He is reacting to many shows +50 requests a weeks. Along with that, he is editing his vids for patreon and youtube. And on top of that, he needs alone time, family n friend time, eat, and other basic needs a human needs. Ok guys now I will tell you a catch here , if you are not subscribed to patreon , now you will need to wait more in youtube to see the episodes which are also not full reactions . However there is twitch right ? Well, you will need to come at the right time in twitch to watch early + you cant pause the stream + you cant rewatch if you missed something or you want to rewatch a reaction. all of these are downsides for watching a stream. It make sense that you get rewarded if you stick like 5 hours or more watching Nick live. Overall , I see Patreon is a win because all the disadvantages of stream is solved here . the only bad thing is that you have to wait for all episodes to be posted. I understand that we watch after people who are not subscribed to Patreon , but at the sametime they face the disadvantages that I mentioned above . Therefore , if you dont want to wait just keep watching his streams and dont subscribe to patreon and face all the downsides unless you dont sleep and can watch 6 hours straight

First I wanna say that Nic can do whatever and that as much as I would like to see everything right away, it truly doesn't make sense if this is what you do for a living. With all that being said, I think the best thing to do, would to include them in one of the higher Patreon tiers that gets everything, but includes full vods like the Pain Arc, immediately. I don't know what Liv does, but I bet that she could work with him and upload the vods and do the thumbnails and all that. I know you can't please everyone, but I think that'd be a good way to go.

I honestly dont care nor do i watch the naruto reaction but alot of the people upset/disappointed certainly have a justifiable reason for it. Not sure why you even brought up people missing work to continue watching. It’s not an applicable or even plausible solution for the majority of the population. Some people can't afford to take a whole/half day off from work to watch the subathon live, but are expecting the full uncut livestream to be uploaded here where they pay money to access. And it does say in the $3 tier that all anime reaction streams will be uploaded uncut here on patreon. I have the good fortune of being able to work from home so I was able to watch the subathon live, but I can see where others are coming from pretty clearly. At the end of the day though, it is up to Nick, and he was transparent about this from the start when he released the subathon info on twitter.

Hi Nick, don't force yourself. It's your choice. To be honest, Im also kinda disappointed about 2 episodes. I imagine no difference whether it's a subathon or not. So yeah, that's not what I expected. BUT you already told us, that you will NOT upload everything and I think you even mentioned the number of episodes. The thing is, before that info I was pretty excited for that subathon, but now I realise it's just a twitch exclusive. Because of my full-time job and part-time studying in my university I don't think I would ever make it to the stream... well especially if I missed one already. Hope you enjoyed the Pain Arc. Patreon wont actually know for like a month. The issue that I see with it is just with the fact that a part of the community (stream) gets to see it a lot earlier before the paying part of the community, which is technically supposed to have a priority on content. Its usually not so bad, because it's not an entire arc and patreon gets caught up to stream soon enough, but now Patreon is being actively told, "Yeah they saw saw the complete arc first, no you don't get to see all of it for weeks and your gonna like it." Which we really wont. Monetarily it makes sense to try to keep people hooked for a month with this especially because you know a fair number of people only joined for this arc of Naruto. Paying members are 100% cheated by this stunt. Technically your saying to watch your streams for the 100% uncut content for free AND for the guarantee that you wont be led on like this for a month or two.

I get your perspective, but a decent sized chunk of your Patreon viewers are pissed off whether you feel like you’re in the right or not. I think most people were expecting at least the jiraiya and itachi fights quickly uploaded with slower uploads from there. Of course it’s your Patreon and can do what you like, but also kind of silly to think people would be happy getting just the two right out the gate.
