2024-06-10 01:27:24 +0000 UTCI love the scene where Jiraiya told Tsunade her rejection made him the man he is, but by rewatching Naruto a couple times I'm starting to think that he never in all seriousness asked her out, ever since he knew he was destined for a greater fate he took it seriously and sacrificed his love for Tsunade and his rank in the village in order to carry out his destiny. Since a stable relationship was impossible while traveling all the time, he had no other choice but to sleep around during his journeys, he never complains about his choices in life, he found purpose in his travels and mentoring, but it's sad they didn't try at least, I'm sure enough that in the end Tsunade would have given him a chance since he is the most trustworthy and sincere person she knows. I think that scene with Jiraiya and Tsunade together on the bench was very sweet as it showed many traits of their relationship and dynamic, some we knew about, some we didn't notice until now. That being said I still think the writer did a great job handling this.

So when Jiraya said he thought of the name while eating ramen you were supposed to make that connection but that's something lost in translation for anyone who isn't Japanese so that's why Kushina added the Naruto line, to make it simpler
