You will find out that what happens between Deku and Bakugo in the movie can't happen (you'll understand in season 6), but I know everyone want you to watch second film and I'm not everyone. The movie is good just the ending is misleading to the TV shows story, so I'm just asking you to think of the movie as filler or fan service.

It was the issue of BONES switching out arcs and incorrectly pacing the show in comparison with the manga - which in the end is mostly an issue that only manga readers faced and then ofc the people who just like hating on stuff joined. A person who did not read the manga didnt really have that much to dislike about s05 to be fair. Now people act like the season was BAD, when it 90% of its critique was never in regards to it being bad but about BONES not delivering the expected quality at the beginning.

What eri did was revert the damage from using ofa 100 constantly because at that point in the series, midoriya couldnt use ofa 100 without hurting himself, but eri can revert that harm to his body

The season itself is very good, but it doesnt pay justice to the manga. They did bad choices and the season could have been way better. I definitely needed to rewatch too :) Eri’s power is rewind. Not rewind time but rewind humans. So she can rewind a persons body to a past state. That’s is how Deku is able to 100% because she is constantly reversing his body from all the damage he gains when using his full power. Eri is so powerful that she can rewind a human back before quirks existed and even rewind their own existence. (Like the rats in that scene). That is why Eri is so important to Overhaul. He needs her to create those erasing quirk bullets.

Those images of Deku's fists just covering the sky... but then that shot at 45:32 with Deku's face in shadow but you see the glow of his eye, then the close up shot of his face being revealed like that. God tier art direction, I swear!! And yes, can we give it up to that Might U song? That song hits me every damn time!! Here we have an shonen action anime, and we get this slow, sweeping score with soft beautiful lyrics by the wonderfully talented Makayla Phillips. Just perfection!! Literally everything in that arc is worthwhile when you get to see Eri smile.

I think those who says it falls off doesn’t really appreciate the writing and storytelling aspect. Any good show, anime or other has to have moments in between to build the stakes so that when shit hits the fan or a character is injured or going through something that emotional attachment is there. Personally because I love the music from this show and I freaking love the quieter aspect of the next arc of the season. It’s especially crucial to build the characters and their emotional bonds for what comes in parts of s5 and the last part of s6. Cuz as someone said in the comments, after s4 it’s peak arc after peak arc. So enjoy this down time coming up. Sorry for the novel 😅

Her ability rewinded her dad into NOTHINGNESS, Overhaul refining this with her blood and "science" could make it reverse the DNA evolution of quirk back . And could revert back human to monkeys if that was the goal. When she escaped she rewinded Overhaul and Nemoto back to the unfused form and might have healed them also . Then she reached for Deku , who in the brust of the moment and emotion used 100% but she rewinded the damage that would have done ! Then Deku that would not be able to sustain OFA 100% in any way used it to balance with Eri rewinding , 100% constantly breaking every bones and muscles fibers in it's body every moment but simultaneously being rewinded to a prestine state by Eri , at some point Eri is overwhelming slightly Deku . Her power could be the absolute turn over in any situation but she can't control it , rn she just have and ON state and chisaki needed to kill her and put her back together to turn it OFF . That shit OP . And so cool . Eri and Deku moments as well as the rapport between Mirio and Eric with the cape and sacrifice was one of the best moment in MHA and on the anime scene when it released . Music & mixing is godlike , animation is wow , the VAs have anscended, it's absolute cinema. Nighteye hability could not foresee Eri's ability of rewinding Deku etc .

He's been repeating this process for a long time until he figured out how to make the perfected bullets. His plan was to keep cutting her up to make bullets. Easily one of MHA's most evil villains and darkest moments. Eri's quirk doesn't rewind time. It just rewinds her body and anyone's body that she's touching. Since Deku's 100% usually destroys his body, Eri's quirk works perfectly for him. He smashes himself, and she immediately rewinds his body to before it was broken. I just wanted to make sure that Nick knew exactly what was happening to Eri because her dealing with this trauma plays a huge part in the next arc. Many hate the 2nd half of this season, but if you go into it with Eri's suffering in mind, it makes a lot more sense. Heroes save people in many different ways. The emotional side of things are very important to the rest of the show.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s still great moments to come, but it feels like Horikoshi is sorta rushing things a little bit sprinting to finish the story, when some parts are dragged out unnecessarily, but other parts I really would like to see, get rushed past. I still love MHA and am patiently waiting for the next manga volumes to be available in English.

The extremely emotional savior moment with Mirio's cape and then transition to Deku's coolest form and the ANIMATION out of nowhere felt like straight up Mob Psycho when he's throwing all those punches. Eri can rewind a broken limb to normal after it's injured, or rewind a person until it ceases to exist. But that's not her Quirk's TRUE power. Overhaul believes that Eri can revert humanity to a time when quirks never existed. That is how he used her body to make quirk-erasing bullets. That's why she's wrapped in bandages. Overhaul slices her up, taking her body to make a drug, then uses his quirk to repair her. Over and over again. When Deku grabbed Eri, after she jumped towards him holding Mirio's cape, in that moment, Deku used OFA at 100% to propel himself upwards. He then realized that Eri used his quirk ON Deku when it happened. Deku can not use 100% yet without acquiring serious injuries afterwards. But the moment he shattered his leg, Eri instantly rewinded it, healing it. Deku then realized if he maintains Full Cowling at 100%, constantly breaking his body, he could keep up with Eri's rewind. As a result, he was able to fight and defeat Overhaul at a level of strength equal to Prime All Might.
