Let's not have any of that "after the first 850 episodes it will get good" behavior. That's why I think that once we get into the exam it will get better, because that's when the story starts all of this was world filler which is cool, only when what's around it is good and as a first episode it had nothing around it

But you can't argue that in comparison to other opening episodes this one is a weak open. I think the show has a good chance of fixing that for me with this next episode.

Also super mid, not like I'm really outraged or anything, just saying I'd rather see one of the anime people actually want him to watch than some mid tier stuff. Also solo leveling is no mid, you out your mind. I've seen way to much anime, solo leveling is like a solid 8-9 so far. Mid is like the 57th isekai anime of the season.

Not something that'll break the mold with storytelling or animation, but it'll likely be pretty solid all the way through. I like when action anime has a bit of comedic moments tossed throughout, so I don't mind it much right now. Though I do hope to see a bit more seriousness throughout the series. Seeing as I hadn't done any prior research or have any expectations, I'll def give the anime a shot. I'm sure it'll be an enjoyable watch regardless, so even if it's not top of the line, I'd say at least give it the 3-4 episodes to see how it progresses. After all, some big Kaiju battles are always fun.

She's 27 years old! The plot may seem a little generic but after season 1 it shouldn't really be. And characters are likeable.

A lot of Japanese people see Americans as great people and think highly of things like the English language and what America is. Even if America is shitty as all hell right now and we know that as Americans more than anyone the Japanese people still hold America in high regard just as we should hold Japan and their people in high regard. Its a give and take and mix and mash type of thing. We wouldn't have had MHA if the author wasn't in love with our culture.

Its been a thing for a long time where anime in general also takes into account things from America or the western part of the world whether its the English slang or American types of music or our culture. Anime has never been just simply "Japan". Anime has taken a lot from American culture and entertainment just like American stuff has gotten a lot and adapts a lot of Japanese culture. So anime was "americanized" long before you ever showed up to anime. This was even obvious back in the early 2000s when I was watching anime as a kid.
