I couldn't take seeing people happy because I was in so much grief and confusion. I think the first time I met my future stepdad I literally hit him because he was goofing around when I met him at my uncle's (he's a very goofy guy in general). All my relatives there were a bit gloomy seeing us but then I saw this guy being happy and I literally hit him and told him my dad died.

After rewatching it I realized it didnt feel as slow when I was binging it and actually enjoyed it so I think he will like that season. The slow moments also need variety and the setup of the show doesnt allow that to happen very easily. The school itself also isnt interesting like a hogwarts for example. There are normal classrooms and big chambers but theres nothing to wonder about. If the return point is always the school it needed to be a more interesting school.

Season 5 might be the worst season, but there are still some incredible moments in it if I remember correctly, so don't write it off entirely. And just enjoy the journey man, I'm enjoying the rewatch along with you :) edit: also my favorite MHA opening is Bokurano by Eve, which is the season 6 part 2 opening! Goated song for a goated arc!

Yes the production quality of the anime falls off EXTREMELY hard after season 4 but you start to notice it in season 4 with the direction as the anime gotten a new director during this season which you go ehhhh to many scenes and even losing the ability to capture the proper atmosphere for darker arcs. Season 5 is where the studio just starts really making terrible decisions such as arc switches, bad pacing, cutting content, and average and sometimes bad animation during one of the most highly anticipated arcs. Season 6 they sort of mad a comeback but still isn't as good or consistent as the production in season 2 or 3. These changes is mostly because of the animators being divided for the movies and the terrible new director for the anime. I am the most non bias mha fan. These are the facts.

As for s05,it aint horrible(it is probs the worst tho) ..but in a weekly format, they kinda tortured especially manga readers, coz they decided to prolong the boring arc and shorten the arc we were all waiting for...but it has some peaks moments of they story, you just gotta get through a lot of talk no jutsu s to get there.

Then season 6 is one of the best seasons (you can argue for s3 or s6). Most long running shows have their hiccups you gotta get through sometimes, I mean you’re watching the Big 3 so I’m sure you’ve already experienced some of that.

I think season 5 is good cause of a particular arc but that’s besides the point. For anyone that continued past season 5 people usually agree that season 6 is a very very good season
