Yamaguchi can’t stay in the whole time because outside of serving his skills are lacking compared to teammates. Also each team gets a limited number of substitutions so they have to be reserved in using pinch servers.

It's just the anime/movies we're waiting on! (Although considering they made it seem like they were going to only make two movies and no more seasons, we'll probably miss out on several arcs :')
