It’s the fact that it’s mostly realistic, well animated and well acted all helps in making it one of the best anime out there. And yes season 3 Haikyuu is peak. There’s so much payoff for the first 2 seasons of build up and the animation in this season is so smooth and complex it astounds me to this day.

2024-01-29 18:24:24 +0000 UTCDefinitely watch the Land vs Air OVA before going to Season 4. It has some important setup before Nationals and will introduce a new recurring character or two. Also, as a head's up: once you hit Season 4 the animation style will change and, at times, will become wonky. Especially the middle to back half of Season 4. Cour 1 of Season 4 ended right when the pandemic hit and the second cour got outsourced a bit which caused the production to suffer a tad.

2024-01-29 14:32:36 +0000 UTCi've listened to anime ost for like a gazillion hours so far and without a doubt i can say haikyuu is at the peak when it comes to ost, yuki hayashi did a fantastic job and haikyuu ost is one of his best creations, all the season have incredible tracks and i think the fourth season is the most refined and best one, glad you recognize how good the soundtrack is
