I don't think any of you understood what I said either. You all keep saying "but he grew up and he's different" but TO ME, his personality still isn't all that likeable. Yes he stopped telling Deku to jump off the building and stuff, but he's still rude. He works better with other people and I do like that change in Bakugo, but as a character, I don't like him and that's OK. Also, while I do think what I said about his perspective towards Deku not changing is false, I didn't throw any blame at Bakugo in my comment. Tbh your comment just shows you're jumping at my throat without proper reading comprehension. The show clearly says that the people around him influenced how he sees himself, his quirk, and others. I am well aware of that. That doesn't mean I have to be fond of the character or his character development.

He thought he was the best and deku needing to save him made him feel inferior for the first time. Deku saving him from the sludge villain upset him even more. Then seeing deku have a quirk made him think all these years deku had been lying to him to make him feel better about himself. Looking down on him for years and pitying him by not using it all this time. Someone he thought was weak was suddenly on his level and his ego can’t accept that.

2024-01-27 20:02:32 +0000 UTCPERSONALLY my ratings go like this: Season 1: 8.75/10 Season 2: 9.25/10 Season 3: 9/10 Season 4: 8.5/10 Season 5: 6.75/10 Season 6: 9.5/10 Season 1 sets the foundation very well. Season 2 is just great overall, very strong season. I could put season 3 higher but it has an arc in it that most dont even remember. Same for season 4. 5 we all know there was many miscommunications and stuff so it wasnt the best, and the chapter count and stuff. 6 is just goated.

2024-01-27 18:07:22 +0000 UTC(technical spoilers) Yea I dont get this. If anything hes the most realistic bully ive ever seen in anime. He hates Deku because he himself thinks Deku is better than him (not physically but mentally). He hates that Deku is able to be weak and scared but still fight back. Basically he admires his courage and always knew that if Deku got a quirk he probably WOULD be stronger since hes more of a hero mentally. Its a cannon thing that Bakugo is the brawn and Deku is the brain in terms of being the #1 hero. The entire point is they both have to learn from eachother. Bakugo to be nice and not just care about the win and Deku to learn the battle instinct and ruthlessness required to win. It makes complete sense that Bakugo would be obsessed with "being the best" because even just in this episode its been shown EVERYONE around him has treated him like he IS the best. Hes a child its the parents and teachers fault for constantly hyping him up. If he made it to adulthood still being a jerk it would become his fault but at this point I blame the adults and in a way Deku.

But I think his hatred or annoyance of Deku during the log is that he was fine, so he didn't need help and his feeling of superiority made him irritated with Deku showing sympathy for him. His reasons for being so rude to Deku are poorly explained and glossed over with weak explanations in later seasons. I think the only good thing from his development comes from the people he meets at school rather than actually changing his perspective towards Deku. Regardless, I don't hate him, I just see him as an annoying brat in that same way I see Sasuke tbh. I think you'll hate him less as the story progresses, but idk if you'll start to fully like him

Nobody said that first season is mid or bad, but a lot of people said it's mid after 3 seasons because it drags a lot and focuses on unnecessary stuff. I would rate 9.5/10 first season and the entire a show a 7.5

Bakugo just has a crazy superiority complex from everyone gassing him up as a kid. His character development is one of the best in the show.

Even though he's a complicated idiot at first, you're really trying to understand him, and best of all, you do! In fact, the dynamic between him and Deku is a little strange at the beginning, more than anything taking into account that a relationship, to be dynamic, must have support and understanding on both sides, but right now only Izuku is doing his part, These are things that change in a very beautiful way throughout history, it is not for nothing that they are considered the wonder duo.
