2023-11-09 00:12:20 +0000 UTCTsukki is my favorite character but he does have a bit of a slower start character development wise and it took till season 3 before he became my favorite. My favorite thing about Haikyuu, that I can tell Nick is starting to notice, is that there aren’t really “bad guys” vs good guys in the traditional sense. There are protagonists and antagonists, but no real villains. You learn every (and I mean every) named characters emotions, backstory, and/or motivations to a degree. It makes it that much more emotional when they play matches cause even if you’re rooting for Karasuno to win you kinda feel for their opponents too and want to root for them a bit too. I haven’t caught up in the manga but at least in the anime so far and where I’ve read up to in the manga they’re aren’t really any characters I outright hate. There are characters that it’s really satisfying to see get knocked down a peg, but no one I can’t stand.

Every Middle Blocker does this in some sort of fashion so they don't waste valuable seconds blocking a spike. Also, there's no one in the show I dislike. All the characters are likeable. Ofc there are characters I like less than others but none that I dislike.

2023-11-08 01:49:33 +0000 UTCah yes, the three genders: boys, girls and volleyball players. anyway, moving on! - "i feel like the captain hasn't been doing much": well, apart from...doing his job as a captain, keeping the team in check, looking after everyone and all lmao. besides that, it's also been established early on that daichi is pretty much karasuno's best receiver right after noya, so he's one of their strongest when it comes to defense. - i personally love kenma, our sweet pudding-head...he's more or less your "typical" quiet kid, a somewhat anxious gamer that doesn't like being the center of attention, has trouble expressing himself & interacting with others. its great there are characters like him in the series, because you find those people quite a lot in school sports especially. the ones that aren't overly determined and play for other, less "ambitious" reasons. - though the translation here says "date tech," they're generally just called "dateko" by everyone, so i'd suggest going with that name instead! and just a little fun fact because you pointed it out: tsukishima does indeed like dinosaurs, that's canon! can't wait for the next two eps, hope you & live are doing well <3
