Lelouch is basically Light but less pyscho (Geass = death note, both smart), and Suzaku is Gabi (Honorary Britannian = Honorary Marleyian). And instead of titans its mech :)

Also this series has always been compared with Death Note foemira similarity and the series both aired at the same time which was pretty awesome
