Based on a lot of theories in Japan, Oda wouldn't add this "meaningless" "Pirate traditional" fight if he didn't have a plan to use this in the future. Some people think that Vs. Red hair pirates may become a Davy back fight, as they cannot imagine Luffy fighting Shanks in a serious fight.

I feel very sorry for those who like them, but forgive me for my honest and personal opinion. I shouldn't recommend anything here, but I'd be happy to include anime movies produced by Mad house and others, Ghibli, Evangelion movies, etc., although they are not content that can be delivered continuously and for long periods of time, as candidates for relaxation.

I enjoyed the arc and thought it was funny (loved Afro Luffy) but I understand if it’s not for everybody. They added a lot of filler that wasn’t in the manga and that made it drag.

2023-10-25 22:13:01 +0000 UTCAlot of the foxy arc is actually filler in the anime but the parts that aren't were in the manga, so they technically aren't counted as filler on the filler guide websites but that said, they are literally completely skippable and you wouldn't miss a thing so it's not like it matters at all frankly. It's like manga filler almost lmao with how unimportant it is to the plot. Only thing you need to see is the second half of the last episode where aokiji is introduced (after the arc is pretty much over) and you're good. Genuinely doesn't matter and I'm sure most people are happy you're already at water 7, one of the best arcs in the whole series.
