I highly recommend watching Code Geass dubbed. It´s an anime where I genuinely prefered the English voice acting over the original one (just like in Cowboy Bebop, FMAB or Bacanno). And this is coming from a non-native English speaker. I´m fine with whichever option you go for though - it´s your decision. Have fun!

I usually only enjoy sub when it comes to watching anime, but I must say that the Code Geass Dub is very good. It was originally introduced to me in dub and i rewatched it in sub later on and honestly, they are both great. If I had to recommend one or the other, I would recommend dub. I'm so excited for this, thank you so much for choosing Code Geass!!!

It's just as cringe to bash on people who like dub. Code Geass is considered one of the best dubbed shows. There's nothing wrong with letting him know dub is a good option. You say let him watch the way he wants to, well maybe he checks out dub and likes it more. And Gabiel saying DBZ is an exception is hilarious. You can't give an exception, but then rag on people for giving their exceptions. Code Geass and FMAB are my exceptions.

Such a moronic take. You're not even arguing that dubs aren't good, but that the original is inherently better simply because it's Japanese and that's that? Do you have proof that objectively, Japanese VA's "always" have more passion and emotion? Because I can tell you for a fact that that is objectively wrong. In fact a ton of the time, Japanese voice acting is very monotone. Think of any cool character from an anime you like. 50% of the time they sound exactly like Byakuyas VA from bleach, whereas if you were to go click on the dubbed version, they usually go a lot more out there giving the characters much more personality and accents because that's the interesting thing about English. A character can sound like they're from the country side, or have a very distinct New York accent, maybe they're even British and have an accent from there. So much variety. Not to say that I don't like the generic deep, monotone, badass voice for characters like that, but just chalking it down to the original having more emotional inherently because it's Japanese and for no other reason is stupid as shit. And saying that dub VA's have less passion then sub VA's is a dumabss take too. You don't have to like dub but to demean the VA's and imply they don't care as much or at all simply because they aren't Japanese? Like how can you lack so much self awareness and stand by what you just said.

It isn't about the anime being in English, it's about the voices, the emotion and the passion that the voice actors put into the characters, there are few shows that I watch dubbed, Code Geass is one of them simply because it's so good, saying that dubbling it into English amercicanises it is pretty stupid since it's really just another sound playing over the exact same story just with another language and voices, it doesn't change anything but the way the story is presented to the audience, and weither it's an American cartoon or an anime, I will always watch it in the one that sound better, I still watch some cartoons in Swedish since it's my native tounge, but that doesn't mean I like my cartoons Swedenized, what are you even playing at with that take?

What do you mean "always has more passion and emotion", I'm sorry but that's simple minded to say, it always comes down to the voice actors and direction behind the voice acting. You can just take show and movies like Breaking Bad, Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars for example, they are all fantastic pieces of fiction, if you want some animations for example I'll tell you about, Spider Man: Into/Across The Spider Verse, Avatar The Last Air Bender, Invincible and even Wall E. You can't actually tell me that these shows/movies are in any way worse because of their english voices.

As a Japanese, Code Geass is the only Anime I manage to finish with dub when I’m practicing my English listening skill. Just follow your preferences should be fine :) I still prefer Japanese tho because it’s my native language and most of the voice actors were my Fav.

I love him as both. Great as lelouch and amazing as Ichigo. It's so annoying when people dog on him for this one clip of him saying bankai though in the fullbring arc and act like he's not doing it right because there's not pause between ban-kai. He literally does the pause every time except that one time lmao. Also annoying that chads voice changes like 3 times too lol. First one was the best by a mile. Other than that, the dubs are are great for both.
