I don't mind if you skip them if you're not interested, but be forewarned that while several don't push the plot, many expand on the world-building or on characters we don't usually see. I think it adds more depth and meaning to future developments, especially when they promote smaller plot points that might make you confused if you miss them. For example, an epic clash between guild captains I think you'll be sorry you missed as it deals with high powered and crazy fight scenes. Or an episode featuring Fuegoleon and Nozel. I remember you mentioning you be interested in an episode or series about those two. Or episodes featuring Yuno getting closer to his fellow guild members (which adds background for a later emotional plot point) as well as changing dynamics in his guild.

2023-09-11 03:07:14 +0000 UTCThese episodes made me drop the show entirely. Don't be fooled by 'anime canon'. It's just filler in disguise. All anime canon is saying, is NOT CANON. It's boring, doesn't do anything to progress the story, and at it's worst will actually reduce the quality of the story overall. Nearly every show with filler and anime canon has dropped 1 or 2 points for me because it truly brings the quality down. The people saying start at 151 might be right though, so I'd probably listen to them. I haven't watched anything past the next few episodes, so my opinion on what to skip to is invalid.

Some of the filler actually have really good character moments, their own mini arcs, Pretty funny, or have some fights that are better than the actual manga adapted episodes. But theres alot of episodes are straight garbage aswell. I would say watch the recommended filler episodes and just skip the rest

2023-09-10 02:28:24 +0000 UTCI would say watch every episode, but if something is actual filler and you're not jelling with that episode skip it. Skipping anime cannon is the craziest thing ever. I don't even skip filler usually unless it's Naruto-level, maybe it's because I pay for physical anime and don't stream it from a service. People need to separate the anime from the manga; both can exist equally and separately and in many cases additional content in an anime adds to the experience.
