It didn't register before but the whole Asta saving Yuno from the mugger thing doesn't make sense. If a grown man is willing to literally rob and beat a child for a couple drinks, he's not gonna give up just cuz the child keeps getting back up. What would actually have happened is Asta would get the shit kicked out of him and pass out, and the guy would leave with Yuno's pendant.

I think the translation is much better. The Japanese voice actors present in this anime are mostly new, and they added a certain personality to the characters, such as Asta and the screams of his voice actor. I don't mean to offend the English dub but Nick is like the best reaction channel and I waited so long for him to broadcast Black Clover and the truth paid to see his reaction in the best way for me so I'm sorry I don't mean to offend the English dub but I like the Japanese more . I've watched 438 different anime that's not including multiple seasons if you include multiple seasons its more like around 600 somthing i watched them all in subbed the first time and then all in dubbed the second time watching them so really if not including multiple seasons it's 876 and if you include multiple seasons it's more like 1,200 I've been watching anime for 20 years and I can say with absolute confidence that out of all the anime that I've watched 95% of them are better in subbed but the other 5% are better in dubbed and black clover is apart of that 5% that's better in dubbed im willing to bet I've watched more anime than 99.9% or 100% of the people hear let me just say black clover is really good in subbed but it's way way better in dubbed And before anyone makes the wow you must have no life jab let me tell you I work 12 hour days 6 days a week and I've been doing that for the last 10 years I still don't have anything on nurses or people who work at hospitals mad respect for anyone who works 18 hour days or longer

I don't think it is. Many characters in different shows has different personas and their character trait associated to it which justifying that persona, but in the case of Asta, he just simply over scream nonsensically. If at least it was warranted I would understand but this is more than over the top for some character that totally looks normal even knowing his childhood. He's not some kind of toon or third character and I am positive I am not the only one who shares that view. I have watched major fights, all the OPs and several episodes of black clover in the later seasons I just couldn't get past the first episodes.

I'm only a few seconds in but I already have a few things to say. First of all the "anime Harry Potter" would either be Mashle (coming in the spring) or Seven Spell Blades (not yet adapted). Second, please stop freaking out whenever you hear a Dub. Most dubs are not offensively bad, they're just not as good as the Sub (generally speaking), and don't deserve such a visceral reaction. Nonetheless, I still enjoy your content. Keep up the good work.

Dub is far better for comedy anime, because of localization mostly, which this anime is good at. Astas voice is annoying in both sub and dub for a short time but both get better within a few episodes

Yeah like some are saying, the voice gets better after a dozen episodes or so. His voice actor was fairly new and this was his first main character role. I'm guessing that after fan backlash, the director had him calm down when they produced more. He still yells, but he does less of that grating sound you hear in these first episodes.

And it didnt help that the director told him to be as energetic as possible. After a certain amount of time and practice he gets much better as the series progresses

not all dub is ass there are some really good dubs its just rare. I've never watched the Black Clover dub but the dubs for Yu Yu Hakusho, Overlord, Fairy Tail, and Death Note are amazing for me. Whereas dubs for things like One Piece and a lot of other shows are cringe to me. It's all personal preference in the end. I'm glad he's reacting in sub personally

YOOO this is gonna be an amazing journey. Especially since the movie comes out on Netflix in March this year after 2 years of waiting! Also Nick just a note since Asta's character was one of the voice actor's very first voice acting gigs in his career he was tryna make a good first impression when the director told him to be very energetic so he screams like that for the first 20 episodes or so but after he has enough practice he stops doing it. His acting is significantly better in the later half of the series
