Hello, lovely Patrons, and happy Freedom Day ✨

Some fun background information for those of you not from South Africa. Freedom Day is celebrated when we, as a country, were able to participate in our first democratic elections at the end of Apartheid (pronounced apart-heyd). It's a historic day to remember, but the real bonus is that tomorrow is a day off for me, which means more time for writing 🎉

Now, for the fun part that you are probably here for. I was able to complete all four variation paths for the bridge battle, and I started working on the save-the-bridge-collapse scene. There is a chance that I'll have to leave the collapse the bridge choice for the next update with the next path, but I'll keep you posted once I get closer to completion. I might surprise myself and be able to complete everything by mid-May, so keep an eye out for progress updates.

I'll be doing my best to complete the side stories today (if not tomorrow), and I'll be posting them as I complete them. Once that's done, I'll return my focus to Chapter 12. It's a lot of work, and for those of you who aren't seeing the behind-the-scenes work, just trust me on this. There are several variables to keep track of, lots of outcomes for failure, success and mid-success options, and let's not forget all the variations for each path to write. I'm not saying I'm going a little crazy, but I think by the end of the chapter, I might be slightly more unhinged than normal.

While I work on the final parts of the chapter before the next update, I'll be working on vetting applications from new beta testers. There are so many paths that I need to be tested with different variable outcomes, so I won't be able to test them all by myself without extra eyes, so hopefully, the testing will go much faster with a bigger group than my current small group of testers.

That's about it for now. Writing beckons so I'll be keeping this devlog short for now.
