A notable difference between how divinity is tested compared to combat, leadership, and politics is that divinity is linked to the health variable. It's set up as a high-risk, high-reward tactic. You won't fail in the first battle scenes if you choose to use divinity, but each use will drain you of your health much more than the other options. Overuse can fail, so be sparing in what you plan to do with it (or don't, failure is an option too).
