The hijab is meant to suppress sexual desires. So it’s pretty ironic that many people with an Islamic background now find some forms of hijab erotic. There are many different theories to explain the reason behind this. Some suggest that it’s because the hijab is so closely associated with femininity. Others find the thought of women who are meant to be conservative failing to resist temptation arousing. Either way, the fact that our beautiful human desires overpower an ancient religious dogma is something we find worth celebrating.
