Atheist Voicemails #18: How Hard Is It to Come out as an Atheist in Your Country?

These are messages left from atheists in different countries. Listen to their voicemails. And consider leaving your own message.

From Bosnia, the first speaker grew up without religion. She talks about her experience when she was approached by two people who wanted to talk about religion and Jesus.

Second speaker is an ex-Muslim from Yemen. He lives in secret and cannot come out as a non-religious person and express his sexual orientation as it is dangerous in where he lives.

An ex-Catholic from Egypt, the third speaker shares his opinion on how he thinks things are moving forward to progress.

Sophia, an atheist from a religious country and family speaks to us. She shares with us how hard it is to come out as an atheist and she is forced to worship God for her family's sake. She talks about the hypocrisy in Catholic schools where she is studying and how the Atheist Republic has inspired her.

Fifth speaker is Eli from South Carolina, USA. He talks about his views on the definition of labels.

From Saudi Arabia, the sixth speaker finds it difficult to talk to anyone where he is.

Last speaker is from Mexico who believes in raising our voices could help others to call themselves atheists. He said, "Please don't let your silence endorse those who kill in the name of myths."
