Talking Simpsons - My Big Fat Geek Wedding With Stephen Sajdak

"My beloved is napping in the many folds of my Spider-Man t-shirt. As for me, I am popping kettle corn." - Comic Book Guy

After eight years, the Skinner/Krabappel pairing comes to an abrupt end when Seymour gets cold feet, causing Edna to leave him at the altar. And when Comic Book Guy comes along to pick up the pieces of this shattered relationship, we're all left wondering if this episode was written backwards from the title.

I find it interesting that Bob states this causes "a huge amount of damage" to Skinner's character when the podcast went to great lengths to defend "The Principal & the Pauper," an episode that many felt not only ruined Skinner but caused the show to "jump the shark." Talking Simpsons may disagree but it cannot be denied that many felt this to be true. Count me as one of them. BUT since we're all pitching ideas to fix this episode, I really think a little Armin Tamzarian could've gone a long way to helping the ending without even mentioning him. Skinner could've gone to his storage locker to reflect on his past life choices, looked at his motorcycle, & used it to drive up and scoop up Edna declaring "I've made a lot of bad decisions in my life. It's time to make the right one." And marries Edna. Not only would this make a satisfying ending to their character arcs, it would've gone a long way to smoothing over the criticism of "Principal & the Pauper." But as I felt towards that episode & now this one, if the writers don't care about these characters, why should I?

Henry, do I understand you play MTG, judging from your MagicCon appearance? I wonder what you think of the latest FF set and the upcoming Spiderman set.
