I really liked that Thirteen Ghosts followup film from 2019, it was really cute and actually does something w fred and daphne. Maurice LeMarche does a great Vincent Price. Enjoyed it much more than Return to Zombie Island.

2021-08-24 15:12:53 +0000 UTCThis movie fucking SLAPS and it's definitely my favourite Doo-related piece of media. Flipping the conventions around to make real monsters the culprit, fantastic animation, and just a really good atmosphere make it stand out so much over the earlier Scooby stuff, even if I do have a soft spot for some of the shows. It's also weird that the live-action movie cribs a lot from this in some ways - the gang is split up and there's a time jump, they go to an island expecting it to be nothing but rubber masks only to have to deal with real monsters, and even some gags seems specifically lifted from it. -- P.S. I watched Witch's Ghost not too long after this podcast came out and it's also so damn good. HEX GIRLS 4 EVER!
