But for four glorious seasons, Home Movies adapted the limited animation and naturalistic conversations of Dr. Katz to something with a little more ambition that wasn't necessarily tied to stand-up comedy bits. 2018-06-17 17:42:38 +0000 UTCIn the UK Home Movies was just a part of normal Cartoon Network, as Adult Swim has never existed in the UK as part of Cartoon Network. The Ofcom broadcasting code prevents a children's channel from showing anything other than children's television. They first tried to create a separate channel for this content (CNX - <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CNX_(TV_channel)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CNX_(TV_channel)</a> ) but Adult Swim has never really had a home in the UK (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adult_Swim_(UK_%26_Ireland)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adult_Swim_(UK_%26_Ireland)</a> ). Back to Home Movie, I only found out by "finding" this episode (which had the US TV-PG and Adult Swim watermarks) that the UK language was censored in the UK version, as Jason saying "bitch" surprised me. They didn't bleep anything, they just re-cut the dialog and since the animation was fairly limited I never noticed it.
