"Hey mom, I know you're excited to retire tomorrow, but can I ask you questions about childbirth?"
I sobbed for a lot of reasons writing this. I always had this end scene in mind for Lily and Bel and their family. I was excited to get here, I was excited to give this moment to these characters who are so beloved to me, I was excited and terrified and devastated and proud to have made it to the end. Obviously their story will continue in the background of future books, and in Hells Belles as a video series, but this story of theirs is done.
I hope I did it justice. I know some people are squicked out by pregnancy and childbirth, and obviously I have never done either so I was going off of conversations I've had, whatever I could annoy out of my mom, and whatever I could glean from the wonderfully honest and open ladies of Reddit.
I'm going to keep writing, but during the holiday season I'm going to do more fun one shot kind of stuff and explore some stuff there. I don't have an expected date for the first chapter of Penny and Greg, but I will let you know when I do.
I'm also attaching some fanart that was sent to me more than two years ago, when I had no plans of writing a book and therefore was willing to share my end vision for Lily and Bel and kids. It's not 100% accurate, but I love it and have it as a widget on my phone.
