Makes you wonder if Aokiji's interests align with Blackbeard's or if he's just using them to achieve his own goals (that they may or may not be aware of). Aokiji definitely still respects Garp, that was his senpai lol My own theory is that Imu might be the man with the burn scar... Still, wild that Kid and Law ran into such ridiculous odds right out of Wano lol, really upping the ante in this last stretch and Aokiji is such a fascinating one, he gives reasons but it feels like we still don't have the full picture of what drives him to do what he does, makes the clash with Garp hit different for sure. Aokiji flash freezing his glass of whiskey is such a nice touch, cause alcohol's freezing point is like -174 degrees Fahrenheit which is just silly. Also love seeing Blackbeard pirates enjoying themselves, One Piece's party/bar song will forever hit. And then BB speech about what a pirate group is being the antithesis of Luffy and the strawhats was also fire, I love BB. Overall Garp vs Kuzan is one of my fav sequences in the series because of what narratively we learn but also the fight is disgusting cause Garp is a top tier hakiman, bro is just saying "nuh-uh" to being frozen and Kuzan is a DF monster with good haki as well and it pains me to see the mentor and pupil square up but those who waver are weak

Rewatching Egghead with you all really puts into perspective the great pacing and buildup when it's in 2 episode chunks as opposed to watching it weekly over the course of the last 10 months.
