2024-11-06 01:51:43 +0000 UTCMy first theory when Aokiji left the Marines was that he was under deeeeeep cover using the beef with him and Akainu as an excuse to go off and do whatever as some secret agent force. But unfortunately since he wasn't recognized as a member of Sword, that hope is gone. Unless there's some other secret initiative that no one else knows about. Garp always said that he was getting old and was weaker than he used to be. Combined with the fact that he used to fight all the time with Gol D. "Mr. Casual Divine Departure" Roger, I don't even know what that island would have looked like in his prime. Garp D. Fist must have been a complete and utter menace.

I loved how yall kept thinking Garp was gonna throw a cannon ball originally haha. But yeah man it really goes to think that Sengoku did everybody a favor in Marineford by restraining Garp. Also thinking about when Roger said either bring Garp or Sengoku to capture him, Sengoku is portrayed to be about as strong as Garp (narratively and lore wise, Whitebeard has hyped him up, Roger also has) its crazy to think how OP he also must have been in his prime I have these 4 in their primes all relative (Garp, Roger, Whitebeard, Sengoku) whether you think one beats the other is fine but they are all relative still in their primes, Oda has said in SBS, light novel, old video game references that Sengoku he was able to compete with the 3.
