It's such a fun fight to watch, the way they did the animation is so 🔥

He ate it as such a young age, it could be that the Luffy we know is more Nika than original Luffy. Or Luffy could be stunted in his emotional growth because of it and basically remain childlike for the rest of his life. 2024-10-16 07:12:33 +0000 UTCthis ep really is something else visually, it's a treat seeing Luffy and Lucci going at it again after so long (Lucci being actively excited to fight Luffy is sick to see), and Vegapunk's talk about devil fruits in relation to Luffy's fruit is one of my fave moments of the arc lol ("But as long as people yearn for it, its existence will never disappear." is a real good line) loved the discussion too, always nice hearing y'all talk theories and this arc sets up some killer talks for sure. Great stuff as always y'all, looking forward to the next batch!

Clearly, I meant the battles against WG at the finale of One Piece - that the story was alluding to - the thing the guys were talking about nonstop too, especially since Dressrosa where we find out that D clan are enemies to the gods. I'm scared to think what they'll cook up given that now they're potentially semi-seasonal, as their weekly form is above all other studios, imo (like, did any anime episode in terms of production surpass this one this year? I have not seen one at this level, personally). Love all the small details they put in. Like Lucci drooling. The most interesting news about the 6 month break, is that after they return, Egghead will air in a new time-slot for the first time. Not in the mornings, like they usually did. That means less censorship (more blood). But this also leads me to believe that OP anime, moving forward, is semi-seasonal, with these 6 month breaks. As TV slot is now replaced with remaster of Fishman island, and I believe it's going to continue into PH and Dressrosa - otherwise why change the time slot? If FI finished after 21 episodes, shouldn't Egghead then air at same exact time? But it doesn't. FI remaster is also looking clean. And they're even addressing sound effect issues, and consistency. And yes, they're working on Egghead as we speak. DB Daima, and other Toei anime have separate teams, that have nothing to do with OP team. This break is just caused by the fact that they're really close to catching up to the manga, and Oda keeps taking more and more breaks, and their desire to push the anime even further as animators are expressing their want for that (that's what Vincent said in his latest interview), as they had to work within weekly schedule boundaries, and couldn't unleash their full potential. As these amazing episodes take very long to complete (some episodes take like 6-7 months in production, like 1015. This one took around 2-3 months, and the talent shows, as you can only compare this to stuff like Frieren which took 3 years to produce as a whole - that's how cracked Toei is). Given new schedule, how good is the last war arc in OP going to look?

The music stopping, the way Luffy is ALREADY THERE, Lucci didn't even get the opportunity to blink, and ofc the menacing red eyes. Kaku's late reaction too lmao. He had to turn his head towards the crashed building, so to me that means he was not tracking Lucci at all during those bounces and he was left looking only at the last place he was punched
