Yeah the Sannin are Sannin level just a bit close to Hokage in comparison...you're downplaying each Kage and what they truly can do not saying the Sannin ain't sht but the White Fang was a bit over the 3 so closer to Hokage than them at least. Which is crazy to think about..

Technically it follows manga canon. Kakashi Gaiden was released between the timeskip but for some reason, Shippuden waited 120 episodes to adapt it.

Yeah Kakashi in the past is a lot different. Don't know if y'all picked up on it but what Obito says about abandoning your friends being worse than scum is what Kakashi told Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura during the bell test. Really goes to show that Obito left a mark on Kakashi for him to adopt his habits in the present basically.

I like the flashback cause you see Kakashi was very similar temperament to Sasuke, which is probably why he tries to mentor Sasuke the most out of his group of Naruto and Sakura.
