They thrive in the Calm Belt and played key roles in Fish-Man Island, communicating with Roger, Momo, and Luffy, and pulling the Noah. When the crew entered the Calm Belt in the New World, they were nearly devoured by them. TL;DR: Neptunians are massive sea beasts, distinct from regular ones.

If people like Luffy show you can do all kinds of good with enough strength, people like Blackbeard exist to show you can do all kinds of bad lol, makes for fun moments

Nothing else hits quite like these moments for me, and it always speaks to the breadth of character autonomy I’ve mentioned many times prior. Fortunately, this next arc is like taking all of those moments and rolling them into a veritable buffet of lore, and I for one have been fucking eating it up haha That black hole sun edit was fucking gas btw. RIP Chris Cornell. Still remember where I was when I read he died. Amsterdam. Anyone who only knows him from Soundgarden should peep his stuff with Audioslave like Show me how to live and I am the Highway, and of course the stuff he did with grunge supergroup Temple of the Dog like their big hit Hunger Strike. He did some solo stuff that’s pretty dope too
