2024-07-11 06:20:29 +0000 UTCI personally felt it was the only action for her. She couldn’t pass up on a chance to severely cripple the Greens by taking out Vhaegar. Sunfyre was already dropped in the battle. Had Rhaenys succeeded the Greens would be left without any dragons as actual threats. Plus I honestly felt Rhaenys was tired. She lost both her children to this conflict along with her husbands health and so many years of stress. I felt her turning back was deciding right there “I’ll die on my sword if that’s what it takes.”

2024-07-11 06:19:33 +0000 UTCYeah, I've seen a lot of people get mad at Rhaenys spinning the block but at the end of the day that's her mission and she's a true dragonrider. She and Daemon are the only ones with big enough dragons to take on Vhagar and Daemon right now isn't exactly the most reliable ally. Also, the optics would look terrible if she abandoned the mission and left a council member to die. Rhaenyra's council are already mad she wasn't making moves and if it comes out that Rhaenys dipped they're all packing up and going over to Aegon's side.
