We are at, probably the biggest crossroads yet. She needs the bone biopsy. We recieved a letter Saturday that he oncologist and the radiology team, took her rib images to the Mets board and all agree that the rib in question has gone from suspicious to concerning. A biopsy is recommended asap because the current chemo does not treat bone cancer. That biopsy is $2207. Yesterday, a neighbor down the street brought us some mail they mistakingly got. Included in that was a letter from my insurance company informing us that it is time to pay for the next 12 rounds of chemo. (She currently has 2 more equalling 52) That cost is $2799. Now... I believe our 12k deductible would then be met BUT... who has that? This could be the end of treatment Oh...and rent is due on the 1st.(along with a few other home bills) Please believe me when I say im not asking for donations. If YOU feel led to donate, bless you But I am open to any part time jobs with my schedule, weekend work, what ever. From June 2nd.- Time is pressing. The stress is overwhelming. We are doing our best but - I don't know y'all. We've only come up with $980 so far aside from rent. We debated on what to pay first but -Can't be homeless, right? $980 toward the hmmmm, almost 5k we need and ASAP. ($2207 bone biopsy + $2799 next 12 rounds of chemo) Well, with the $980, we still need $4026. This mountain has by far been the toughest to date. If we can get past THIS financial obstacle, I think the burden of copays is lifted. I THINK. I HOPE. I will be contacting the insurance person at my job to confirm! Anyway- I will continue to sell whatever I have to. Nothing means more to me than HER. She is about to post her fire toys. I hate to see her have to let go of things she loves but right now, the goal is keeping her here and getting her healthy. Thank you to those who have reached out, sent prayers, offered things to sell, researched places to contact, and donated.
