2024-03-30 21:43:42 +0000 UTCIt is like they hate Sanji lol but I think Zoro is supposed to be stronger than Sanji anyway, but not by much. There are always tiers in these battles. My gripe with it is whether it makes logical sense. How it occurs in the manga makes sense given the situation, but then Toei changes it and it makes no sense... Sanji should've realistically knocked Kanjuro off the bird if this actually happened, or been more of a struggle even if Kanjuro is strong. Sanji could have kept after him more aggressively if they had made contact. Backing off and letting Kanjuro just fly away after only one little kick makes no sense to me. It took away the element of suspense. I just dislike when first time watchers are upset about the way it plays out when it's not actually like that lol it's just the way they chose to conduct the episode.

2024-03-27 23:45:21 +0000 UTCWhat's stupider is that Sanji doesn't even make contact with Kanjuro in the manga when he flies after them. Kanjuro summons the ink cloud and ink arrows as Sanji is trying to catch up to them, and he can't get close because it starts raining arrows on everyone (and Usopp can't make a shot because he can't see through the cloud). The anime makes everyone seem much more incompetent which is kind of frustrating.

2024-03-27 22:51:29 +0000 UTCLmao, Toei pacing issues making the kidnap look like a real fumble. But as is always in these situations, nobody is really not doing anything for minutes on end. In the manga, it happens fast. If ever the remake will make it to this point, this whole moment will happen in couple of minutes, rather than an entire episode. But yes, want to reiterate also, that aside from Akazaya nine, others didn't know Kanjuro was a traitor.

2024-03-27 22:24:12 +0000 UTCExcept for the immediate 5 (Kinemon, Ashura, Dogstorm, Kawamatsu, and Kiku— I'm assuming Denjiro has also just realized exactly who the spy is, and Shinobu who is currently tied up with snakes), no one else in the alliance knows anything about Kanjuro being the traitor so them not immediately trying to save Momo isn't odd. They just seem confused on why Kanjuro is flying away with him, but they don't really have a reason to be overly concerned right at that moment. They don't realize til after that he must be the spy. Kanjuro gets on the bird and begins his escape pretty quickly in the manga.
