I recognize that he's one of the most important figures in the story and that he's done a lot for his people but I don't enjoy his character. He didn't feel like anything new besides his special bloodline.

During Marineford, Sengoku said that the tremor tremor fruit has the power to destroy the world, like there is some kind of legend surrounding it. Because it doesn't seem like Whitebeard ever did something on that kind of magnitude. It could be that there were some very powerful awakened devil fruit users in the past who shaped the one piece world into what it is today. Because the redline splitting the world in halve can't be a coincidence the more that I think about it.
